Bridges To Hope: More about this effort
North Branford, CT couple help out in impoverished Ugandan Village
Chris and Lisa Cozzi and their daughter Sienna made a difference by working in 95° weather to dig a well in Soroti, Uganda to provide a local community with clean drinking water - a convenience we often take for granted.
Locals in this village have to walk 12 miles to nearest source of safe water - in order to provide for the needs of their entire families.
Health Benefits and Time Savings
Not only is clean water a basic human necessity, not carrying and carting gallons of it over 10 miles home immediately impacts the health of villagers.
Women are able to free up vast amounts of time to have available again for caring for their homes and families.
Children can free up time for school and other enrichment activities.
Community Involvement
Not only do these projects need funding, they also need local knowledge and labor to complete. The Cozzi's worked hard alongside local villagers.
It was amazing to see the resilience of people who make happy lives for themselves with much less than we have.
Om Hot Yoga to Reach $7K Goal by April 1, 2025
More villages in Uganda are in need. Water scarcity is a real problem for their communities. Through our Hot Vinyasa Flows and other donations, Om is committed to helping bring more clean water to Ugandan communities.
Please join us in supporting this worthy effort. Everyone deserves clean water.
